ORIGIN and HISTORY
PEERLESS BAM will celebrate the Toulouse Establishments 60 th aniversary. It's at the heart of this company that the eighth of nine children of an iron worker created the prestigeous line of fishing reels.
It's walking on the boulevard des Pyrénées in Pau that Lamartine described it as “the most beautiful view on earth”.
Like those torrents flowing from those young mountains, a creative spark pushed young creators forward. In the 50s for these exceptional men, Joseph Isidore TOULOUSE designed tools…
Then in 1952 he imagined a torrent fishing reel “the small model peerless” was produced in small edition using a manual screw press.
After the “Petit Poucet” (Tom Thumb) and the “Grand Modèle” the first casting reel was produced in 1960.
It was named BAM after the initials of the founder's three childrens' names Bernard, Alain, Marc.
PEERLESS - BAM, a spark of genius which came down from the Pyrenees one day had entered the fishing world and was about to provide thousands of European anglers with exceptional equipment.
